Mohamed El Nemr, M.D. earns FACOG designation

Memorial Hospital OB/GYN specialist Mohamed El Nemr, M.D. recently became a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists ({F}ACOG).

“Joining ACOG as a full fellow means that I am responsible more than ever to ensure my practice provides excellent care as defined by the leading physicians in the OB/GYN field,” said Dr. El Nemr.

Dr. El Nemr is a board certified OB/GYN specialist who sees patients full time in Fremont for Memorial Hospital. His professional interests include obstetrics, high-risk pregnancies, minimally invasive GYN surgeries and cancer risk reduction surgeries.

The FACOG designation indicates a physician has met stringent professional criteria that give patients an extra level of comfort and confidence. Specifically, board certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, an unrestricted licensure to practice medicine and perform surgery, specialization in gynecology and endorsement by active Fellows of the Congress.

The American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology was founded in 1951. It is the nation’s leading group of professionals providing health care for women. It is a private, voluntary, nonprofit membership organization. One of its core areas is maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice and continuing education.
